cannot read those articles tonight (i'm 'posed to be in bed) -- was the one about the big wad of plastic the same one alison linked to last year? -- but i have to tell you two things:

saturday i bought a $2 item -- a tiny usb adapter -- at comp usa's clearance sale and the guy was going to put it in one of those HUGE plastic bags! i said, "hey, i don't need a bag for THAT." i have to catch myself sometimes, or i can be rude...

and, long story but i'll give the short version: my new co-workers discovered that i'm the one who has been going around turning off lights in the building (a lifelong habit). i am usually the first person in on the first few days of the week, and it's still dark. monday i went into the morgue (which is what newspapers call their archive room) to turn off the light (the one that had been left on ALL WEEKEND), and someone had duct taped the light switch ON. because of me. i moved the tape and turned the light off. sheesh!

debating about blogging about this myself this week. prolly will when i have time.
