Some of you know how much I love the beach. How my family enjoys many adventures there. How we, for the past few years, have gone immediately after school gets out.
If we were sticking to the schedule, we would have been there last week. But, because of some changes in schedule, this year we’re going in July. It’s probably better this way, I am telling myself, because once I had realized that I missed being two condos down the beach from Dooce by a couple of days? I hate to think.
That’s right. If we were there this week, we’d be right down the beach from her. I’m having this weird sensation of wanting to yell ohmygoshwe’vewalkedrightbythatplaceforthepasttwosummers! Right! By! There! I know RIGHT WHERE THAT IS! I KNOW HER!
Or at least I know where her condo is. That makes us practically best friends!
Yeah, it’s probably good we’re not there right now. One of us might do something embarrassing…
so when are you going? we’re going to orange beach 7/6-7/13…overlapping with mel. and believe me sister, it can’t come fast enough.
