I really thought that when I got back from Texas, I would post everyday for about a week and a half. Proof, of course, that I am clearly delusional. But people, I had stories to tell – entries all planned out by geography, order of occurrence and relationship to my past. And most important, I had pictures!
You see, right at the end of November, I found myself with a new camera – one that I have wanted and finally saved for long enough that I still can’t believe it’s real when I hold it in my hands.
One of the things I was most excited about was that it meant I would have it for this year’s trip to the hill country. Walking around with it for that week made me realize how long I have wanted to capture it; I took hundreds of pictures (ok, I let Bryan take some too).
I even got him to install this cool new plugin that allows you to see all these beautiful photos at a bigger size right here on thedramatic.com. Really! Just click on any of these – I highly recommend it.
Yes, the only hitch in my big plan is me. While my husband is so up to the minute on the internets that he was posting our progress through TX almost hourly, my internet self runs a tad slower. So all these pics sit in my iPhoto, and all the stories stay in my head because I want to post about them first and if things go according to usual, about a week and a half from now I’ll decide that the Texas trip was so long ago that I don’t want to write about it anymore…
So, this is my attempt to motivate myself. I’m laying it out there. I’m saying I want to tell you the rest of the story. And I will. But it may be June.
