you belong with me

We pulled into the driveway today with a carful of groceries to unload, but the song wasn’t over yet.  It’s her favorite right now, and she was singing along, right next to me.  Somehow she manages to sing only loud enough that I catch glimpses of her beautiful sweet voice just in and around the song playing.  She will not sing without the music, and not even with it if she thinks I am trying to hear.

This is our life right now, she and me – she is finding the song she wants to sing, I am sitting near her as often as I can, trying to hear the notes just as hard as I can without it seeming like I’m trying to at all.

    • thank you friend…she is a lovely girl. Now, if only I had some vacation pictures to post – maybe the Dominican Republic?  Talk about lovely!

that my friend is one lovely poem.  simply perfect.

p.s.  at dcamp we did ipod karaoke and elizabeth got up and sang (and i’m sure you’ve already heard all this already) but it was simply beautiful and she had such a sweet, sincere (and GOOD) voice.  she needs to start singing a little bit louder because i have a feeling that soon enough you’re not going to be the only one who wants to hear her.
